There is a weapon, a great and mighty one; it is deadlier than the havoc a gun can cause and much more reverberating than the sound of bombs and rockets. It is creative, versatile it has the power to will your purpose into reality or out of carelessness and ignorance will nightmare and disappointments in place of the great promises of God over one's life.
One thing you should hold close to your chest next to your unrepentant love for God is the reality that your tongue can create and at the same time can destroy. It can shape your destiny and crush your dreams. Let me tell you this truth, watch what you say either in ignorance or in the exchange of words with friends.
Many unspeakable nicknames that your friends call you and you smile in reckless abandon and feel on top of the world like: Bad boy, Lady killer, Stupid boy, Were etc.The concern of this post is not to glorify these demonic names with destructive consequences but to open our eyes to the reality that many of us are ignorant of.
I have been there, there are several phrases that I have used for myself in life that I know have impacted my life negatively if not for his grace that is restoring me. For several years, I always said I was a shy person until the spirit of shyness came upon me for several years. I would say it like it's a tag I wear with great pride...
''Hi, name is Tomiwo Akinyemi, It's difficult for people to believe when I say this but I'm a very shy person''
Is that not shocking... Many will go on and on and say stuffs like:
'' I get scared easily''
''I'm afraid to fall in love''
'' My parent's marriage didn't work out... Marriage is not for me''
'' I don't think I will make it in life''
'' I'm in trouble''
These are weapons that reach their destination faster than the speed of a bullet. When you speak, don't think what comes out of your mouth are ordinary. You send words on an errand... they have a spirit and breath in them and they bring to manifestations the instructions they are commanded. Do you doubt me, His word confirms it.
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63)
There are lot of things that get activated in the spirit realm when we speak. our words are extraordinary and they carry a great potency. Our utterances operate in the realm of the spirit and they do not care if you are born again or not. The advantage you have as a believer is that you dwell in The Word and it makes you shape your reality in accordance with the word of God.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Why do you think Habakkuk talks about the fact that the vision is for an appointed time and when that time comes, it will speak.. It means your vision can speak. What are you waiting for. Speak to that vision, run with it. Speak encouragements into your life in place of disappointment because believe you me- a time will come that it will speak and that vision of yours will become a reality.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. ( Habbakuk 2:3)
Your vision has feelings, it can hear. it responds to negativity as much as it does positivism. Believe you me, there is always a temptation to speak situation but don't fall into that trap; rather than speak situation, speak revelation and see the manifestation unfold into beautiful realities.
As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. (Romans 4:16)Therefore, beware of idle words and phrases that gives ammunition to great danger that leads to grave consequences, Speak life always into your life, and to be able to be victorious over phrases or words that can lead to death or worse mar the great destiny and purpose of God for your life, you need to renew your mind because it is the factory that processes words that can either make you live your best life as designed by God or enslaved or held in captivity by the oppression and manipulations of the devil.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ( Romans 12:2)
