Narrator:
There is a path that is set before every man that leads to different
destinations. There is a narrow path less traveled and while there is a broad
path widely traveled, one path leads to eternal life while the other leads to
eternal damnation. There is life and death before you; the choice is yours to make.
Welcome to Another Life.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:19)
PROLOGUE:
The kingdom of darkness is fired up and strategically make plans to lay
siege in these last days and turn the faces of many away from God; causing people
to wax cold, driven by lust, the desires of the flesh; lusts of the eyes and
pride of life.
Dragon: I will like to say kudos on the work done so far but we have
to be better. The harvest is ripe and the territory of Christendom is ours to conquer.
We have no more time to waste because we are in the last days. The stage is
set.
Snake-tide: What exactly do you want us to do great one?
Dragon: (Laughs hysterically) the time for us to rule is now and we have
to strategize to be successful in this mission.
Pride storm: How do you mean great one?
Dragon: The focus of the team should not be on souls that are
already on our side but on the children of the Most High. Remember 2 Timothy 3:2
says in the last days, the love of many shall wax cold... Snake-tide, it's time
to send the daughters of the seven seas to the church, institutions and government.
Let them seduce and tempt men of God, cause them to give in to lusts of the
eyes and the flesh. Let them devour the hearts of the youth and cause them to
exalt and service the altar of sexual immorality rather than the altar of
worship. Let these daughters be the barrier that stand against peace and happiness
in the homes; cause godly husband's to abuse and molest their spouses, sons and
daughters rebel against parental authorities and government to be imprisoned on
the altar of corruption and sin.
Snake-tide: (Laughs monstrously) The delegates are ready.
Dragon: Pride storm, I want you to devour General Overseer of churches,
fill them with pride and cause the spirit of boastfulness descend upon them. Cause
them to dishonour their wives and oppress their children. I want you to bring depressive
and repressive thoughts of anxiety upon soldiers to make them weary and tired
of the tasks that have been placed in their hands; cause them to discard their
weapons and seek their own ways. Let them turn blind eye to the potency of prayer
and seek their own ways.
Pride storm:Thank you great one... The delegates of destruction are
set.
ACT ONE, SCENE ONE
The scene opens with Pastor Adebayo receiving a phone call in preparation
for ministration. His daughter, Yewande runs in to have a discussion with her father
but he is having none of it...
Pastor Adebayo: (on phone) Good morning Mr Adewale.
How are you? The ministration is tomorrow by 4pm in Port Harcourt... Thank you and
God bless you. I'll be there.
Yewande: Dad, I'm trying to talk to you but you are not giving me
attention.
Pastor Adebayo: What do you want this girl? (She tries to speak but he
didn't let her). I transferred 100k to your account this morning. Don't be an
ungrateful girl. As you can see, I am preparing for a ministration.
Yewande: But Dad... (Don't Dad me)
(She grumbles and walks away)
Mrs. Adebayo: (rushes in) I heard a noise in the sitting room. Hope
all is well?
Pastor Adebayo: Did I send for you? Woman don't pressure me this
morning...I'm very busy.
Mrs. Adebayo: Daddy Yewande! We have to spend quality time with this
girl. She needs our love and you know she will leave home soon.
Pastor Adebayo: (Angrily) Are you saying I don't love my daughter? Just
say that.
Mrs. Adebayo: I don't mean it that way, I'm sorry.
Pastor Adebayo: If you don't know how to train your daughter... That's
your own problem.
ACT ONE, SCENE TWO
She goes to the house of her friend who gives her all the attention
no one does at home. Yewande can't remember the last time her Dad told her 'I love
you're or hold her In a warm embrace to himself.. her encounter with Adekunle changes
all that...
Adekunle: Baby boo la boo. My Delilah. Come and give me sugar.(she
hugs him) Why are you so moody?
Yewande: My Dad doesn't love me. Every solution to any discussion is
money.
Adekunle: You are even lucky. My Dad has turned himself to a villager
doing mission work; preaching up and down that God will supply all our needs.
Thank God you bless my life from your family wealth.
Yewande: (Laughs) Don't talk about your Dad like that.
Adekunle: Ok Princess, I won't. I hope you are ready for this night.
Yewande: Trust me, my middle name is ever ready.
ACT ONE, SCENE THREE
Mr. Gbenga is the MD of a reputable bank in town. He is a womanizer whose
ways are not right. For months now, Mr. Femi has been trying to reach him for Christ
all to no avail.
Gbenga: Mr. Femi. How may I help you?
Femi: Sir, I'm not here to waste your time... It's just...
Gbenga: It's just what? Say whatever you have to say. If you are here
to preach to me, please save it.
Femi: I want you to know that
there is a plan and purpose for our existence and we will give an account for
the way we lived our lives.
Gbenga: Am I an accountant? I have warned you to stop bringing your insane
talks to my office.
Femi: But sir... Jesus loves you and his desire is for you to live
to please and honour him. When we engage in and allow the affairs of this world
to swallow us up, the end of such journey is destruction.
Gbenga: What nonsense are you saying? Are you saying I will be destroyed?
Femi: No sir...
Gbenga: Now get up and get
out of my office because you are fired.
Femi: Please sir... I'm sorry, that's not what am saying. Please sir,i
need this job...
Gbenga: You knew you needed this job and you came saying rubbish (He keeps
pleading) Hello security, come and bundle this nuisance disturbing the peace in
my office.
ACT TWO, SCENE ONE
Femi is in the Taxi... He is lost in thought and when he had gotten
to his destination almost forgets to pay
Femi: Lord, why did you allow me to get fired? I did what you asked
me to do. Now I don't know what to do and how to cope with this development.
Lord Jesus, I pray that you will save his soul and deliver him from the path of
destruction. Save his soul oh lord. Please save his soul...
(The Taxi driver parks the car, he forgets to pay)
Taxi driver: Oga where are you going? you never pay me now.
Femi: I'm very sorry, I didn't know. Forgive me.
Taxi driver: It's fine, no problem. Thank you for the tract.
Femi: Make sure you make a decision for Christ. Thank you.
ACT TWO, SCENE TWO
Pastor Adebayo: Yewande! Yewande! Yewande!
Yewande: What Dad? Why are you screaming my name like a church bell sound.
Pastor Adebayo: It's me that is screaming your name like a church
bell. Say what you like I'm not surprised. I have always known that you will drag
my ministry into shame as a result of your promiscuous lifestyle.
Yewande: Dad, don't even go there.
Pastor Adebayo: What have you asked me that I haven't given you... Money!
Shelter!... Everything!
Yewande: Everything you say, don't even go there. What about your
love? When last did you call me beautiful or tell me I love you daughter...
good job daughter...keep it up daughter...
Pastor Adebayo: Is that why you are dragging my ministry through the
mud and tarnishing my image around?
Yewande: You have no ministry, your home is loveless, distressed and
in despair. You are only walking for God and not walking with God.
Pastor Adebayo: Are you talking to me like that?
Yewande:(sarcastically) No your royal highness. You call me bad but
you are worse than me. You made me this way and I know for a fact that when
your work is tried and tested with fire, it will fail and burn to ashes.
Pastor Adebayo: Look who is preaching to me? (he slaps his daughter)
Get out of my sight.
Yewande: You slapped me...
Pastor Adebayo: (sarcastically) No... I just wiped your face. Say
any stupid thing there again whether I won't slap you.
Yewande: Just try it... That day will be the last time you draw breath.
(In the ensuing argument, the wife rushes in)
Mrs Adebayo: (on her kneels) Daddy Yewande... Please I'm sorry. She
is our only child. Let's treat her with love and affection.
Pastor Adebayo: you mean your only child. (she begins to cry) Stop shedding
crocodile tears and get out of my sight you this destiny destroyer.
Mrs. Adebayo: Me? Destiny destroyer. In-fact you are a very foolish man.
The Eli of our time. A blind man who builds the foundation of his home on a
sand and calls it rock. No wonder your home is crumbling before your very eyes.
Pastor Adebayo: Are you calling me a foolish man?
Mrs. Adebayo: Be asking yourself a rhetorical question there.
(They continue exchanging words for a few seconds and scene FADES)
ACT TWO, SCENE THREE
Yewande is in her third year at the university still devoid of love,
care and family affection. She has involved and fully embraced the ungodly lifestyle.
Every attempt to reach her for Christ has proven abortive.
Tinuke: it's three years already since I have been telling you that
Jesus doesn't like this lifestyle of yours but you have refused to hear any of
it.
Yewande: What do you want from me? Look at you preaching to me. Have
you forgotten the daughter of who I am? My Dad is the General Overseer of End
Time Ministries
Tinuke: The issue on ground is about you and your lifestyle not your
father Yewande.
Yewande: Leave that one alone and mind your own business.
Tinuke: Hmm... Yewande. You remember the Bible says ' What shall it
profit a man, if he gains the whole world...'
( Yewande cuts in)
Yewande: ... And lose his own soul. Don't give me that rubbish.
Tinuke: Rubbish you say.... Eternity is at stake here... In fact, where
are you going this night?
Yewande: Are you my mother? I have a dinner date with my English
Literature lecturer.
Tinuke: Yewande... The end of this path is destruction.
Yewande: Thank you.
ACT THREE, SCENE ONE
Femi who was sacked some years back still passionately intercedes
for unsaved souls especially his former boss who is yet to be saved.
Femi: Lord Jesus, I stand in the gap for those yet to come to your saving
grace, please Lord let the eyes of the understanding of the unsaved be open. Father,
cause territories under the siege and oppression of the devil be delivered.
I pray for homes that where storms are raging, father bring calm to
these homes in the Name of Jesus. Father, you are the Prince of Peace, let your
peace reign in these homes.
Every altar of sexual immorality that has been raised, Father, destroy
these altars and deliver sons of men from the bondage and oppression of sexual
sin.
Father, I commit Mr. Gbenga and all unsaved souls unto your hands.
Lord Jesus I pray that you will set them free from sin. You will subdue the desire
that craves to satisfy the flesh always in Jesus Name, Amen.
ACT THREE, SCENE TWO - 2 Weeks Later
The next morning
Gbenga: Baby, you are very sweet, I had such a great time last night.
Yewande: Me too
Gbenga: What about tomorrow... I'll like to see you again.
Yewande: I don't think so. I am planning a trip to Dubai for this
weekend.
Gbenga: When will you be back?
Yewande: Next month.
Gbenga: What! You want to kill me. How do you expect me to cope in your
absence.
Yewande: You want to tell me you don't have other girlfriends.
Gbenga: Stop it... You know that you are my special Princess.
Yewande: (makes to leave) Don't worry, it won't be long. Don't miss
me too much.
Gbenga: I'll really miss you.
ACT THREE, SCENE THREE: 3 weeks later
Gbenga was alone in his room and getting really distraught, frustrated
and begins to question his life choices...
Gbenga: What kind of life am I living? I have money, I travel to anywhere I want,
I can get any girl I want yet in all the luxury, I feel so empty, I don't know what
it feels like to have peace. I move from one house to another, jump from one young
girl to another; Today Hotel in London, Next week Hotel in Paris. I need a way
out...
( He switched on the TV and the words been spoken hit him till he fell
asleep... Gbenga falls into a deep sleep where he has a revelation of heaven
and hell)
Voice of God: You have failed to make your destiny... See many souls
that I have committed in your hands are wallowing in darkness. You have failed to
make your destiny count...
(Dragon boastfully walk into the scene)
Dragon: Haha haha.. Now you are dead. You have no hope anymore. You
are welcome to hell.
Voice of God: No! I have not created this one for destruction. I have
decided to hear the valiant cry of intercessors praying for your soul. I have decided
to hear the cry of mercy over your life.
Gbenga: Thank you... Please who are you?
Voice of God: I am the substitute that stood in the gap and died for
your sins and transgressions... Wake up now! There is no time.
Gbenga: (wakes up from his sleep) Lord am sorry. Can you ever forgive
me? I have manipulated figures, womanized and struggled with all sorts of addictions.
Please cleanse me and help me to turn away from my wicked ways.
ACT FOUR, SCENE ONE
Yewande has been feeling really sick for some time and she decides to go to the hospital for a medical check up to ascertain what was really wrong with her...
Doctor: Hello Yewande
Yewande: What exactly is wrong with me? Where is my test result?
Doctor: I have it right here.
Yewande: Why don't you give it to me?
Doctor: You have to calm down... Just relax
Yewande: How do you expect me to relax?
Doctor: Any condition that a man faces is not a death sentence. There
is still hope and you can still live healthy despite your condition.
Yewande: What is it?
Doctor: I'm afraid you are HIV positive
Yewande: I'm dead... I can't survive this...
Doctor: The condition you have is not a death sentence. When you actively
use your retroviral drugs and eat healthy, you will be fine.
Yewande: I will never be fine.
ACT FOUR, SCENE TWO
The Scene opens at Pastor Adebayo's residence... He is busy sipping
a glass of juice with his bandaged wife in the kitchen making dinner...
Pastor Tolu: Good evening sir
Pastor Adebayo: Good evening. Surprised to see you at this time of the
night. Hope no problem?
Pastor Tolu: Yes sir. All is fine sir. I was meditating and preparing
to sleep but the Holy Spirit would not let me. Your daughters name keeps coming
into my heart.
(Pastor Adebayo's wife walks into the room)
Pastor Adebayo: Who sent for you? You don't have to be here.
Pastor Tolu: This concerns her too... I see your daughter in grave danger
and the enemies standing over her to slaughter her.
Pastor Adebayo: What are you talking about?
Pastor Tolu: The Holy Spirit revealed to me that the altar of your home
has crumbled and the structure is full of cracks and leakages.
Pastor Adebayo: What nonsense Is this? Do you realize that I made
you a Pastor in this ministry?
Pastor Tolu: I'm sorry sir... I didn't mean to offend you. When last
did you see your daughter cause we haven't seen her in a while especially during
holidays.
Pastor Adebayo: It's been a while and she has chosen to thread the path
of destruction.
Pastor Tolu: Sir we need to see her.
Pastor Adebayo: (phone rings) I need to take this call. Hello, who
is on the line?
Doctor: This is Doctor Babatunde from Federal College Hospital, Lagos.
Are you Pastor Adebayo?
Pastor Adebayo: Yes I am. How may I help you?
Doctor: Your attention is urgently needed over here. Your daughter is
on admission in our hospital and her condition is deteriorating.
Pastor Adebayo: it's too late to travel down now... I will travel down
first thing tomorrow
(ends call) God knows what your daughter has done again now? Who knows if she had
gotten pregnant and damaged her womb?
Pastor Tolu: Sir, please be calm. All will be well.
Pastor Adebayo: All will not be well... That useless girl has soiled
my reputation, ministry and name.
Mrs. Adebayo: Lord please don't let anything happen to my daughter...
Let's book a night flight honey please.
Pastor Adebayo: I am tired. You know I have just returned from ministration.
We will go tomorrow.
ACT FOUR, SCENE THREE
Gbenga hears about Yewande's condition a few months after he got saved,
he decides to see her...
Gbenga: Yewande... How do you feel?
Yewande: I'm in a lot of pain right now.
Gbenga: Sorry about that...
Yewande: Have you taken tests to see if your health is fine?
Gbenga: Yes... I have a clean bill of health.
Yewande: I know God doesn't love me. Why me of all people? You were
more promiscuous than me.
Gbenga: I can't explain it myself... When you called to inform me of your
condition, I was really scared and I immediately went for a full body check up.
It was the grace and mercy of God that saved me. It can save you too.
Yewande: Save me? I'm dead already.
Gbenga: Stop saying that. (Quotes Romans 8:1,6).
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit....For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. ( Romans 8:1,6)
You are very much alive.
God loves you and that is why you are still alive to hear about the saving grace.
Many sleep and never wake, others have accident and the shock kills them. It is
only in God that you can be strong and live forever. You need to give your life
to Christ before it is too late. This may be your last chance. Remember:
If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away and behold all things have become new ( 2 Corinthians 5:17)
Yewande: (Prays for mercy) Father forgive me, I have sinned and fall
short of your glory. Please Lord have mercy mercy, I am sorry for failing you and
not following the path you have laid for me. Please blot my name from the book
of death and write my name in the book of life. Thank you for this chance and
not allowing me to die in my sin. Thank you Lord.
ACT FIVE, SCENE ONE
Yewande falls in a deep sleep and in her revelation, she walks past the
ward seeing her parents and Gbenga praying in her ward that God should save her
life...
Intermittent Breaks:
Gbenga: Lord please spare her life, have mercy. Transform her mess
into a message, Lord you are full of mercy and compassion.
Scene Break:
Pastor Adebayo: (groaning) Lord have mercy, I have failed you in the
ultimate ministry you have placed in my hands which is my home. I have refused
to honour and value my wife, I have starved my daughter of love. Please have
mercy Lord forgive me. If you spare my daughter, I promise to love her, honour and
cherish her. Please Lord rebuild the foundation of our home and restore all the
locusts and cankerworm have stolen.
Mrs. Adebayo: Lord Jesus, please don't let my daughter die. Please
let her live to the honour and glory of your Name in Jesus Name. Please Lord have
mercy. You said you will have mercy on whom you will have mercy and compassion
on whom you will have compassion. Please Lord, single my daughter out for your mercy.
Scene Break:
Yewande is clothed in white apparel...
Yewande: Wow, this place is beautiful and peaceful.
Holy Spirit: This is the place that has been prepared for you.
Yewande: Wow, I love this place. But, I don't want to go now. There is
so much I have to do. I need to make up for lost grounds. Please give me a second
chance...
Holy Spirit: My daughter, I am sorry, you are already wounded and greatly
hurt on the battle field of life. Despite heavens sadness at your tarnished purpose,
there is great rejoicings in heaven that you are saved.
Yewande: I need to warn people on the dangers of sexual immorality;
especially heavenly princesses not to soil their royal garment on the altar of sin
because sin derails ones purpose and destiny.
Holy Spirit: My daughter, I will make something out of your story.
It will be a tool that will birth deliverance in many.
ACT FIVE, SCENE TWO
Yewande wakes up...
Mrs.Adebayo: My daughter... How are you doing?
Yewande: Mum. I have found him. The Holy Spirit came into my room,
his presence brings calm to my soul.
Mrs.Adebayo: What are you talking about? You are scaring me.
Yewande: Mum, I am sorry that I did not obey and honour you... Now
my destiny has been cut short.
Pastor Tolu: What are you talking about? Please don't talk like that.
Pastor Adebayo: My daughter, my princess, please I'm sorry i did not
love you as much as I should. Please forgive me.
Yewande: I have forgiven you Dad, I am sorry for disrespecting you
and being a bad child.
Pastor Adebayo: Please stop saying that. You are not a bad child. I am
the bad father.
Yewande: I don't want you to cry for me (To Dad and Mum) I have
found peace and joy... Another life that is devoid of frustrations, pain, suffering
and shame but complete happiness and transformation.
Mrs. Adebayo: My daughter, please don't talk like this. You are scaring
us...
Pastor Adebayo: (Yewande gradually weakens with her father in tears)
I need to transfer my daughter to another hospital.
Yewande: Pastor Tolu, Mr. Gbenga... Make sure everyone hears about
my careless and carefree life. Please warn them of the terrible consequences of
a sinful lifestyle and the fact that the greatest privilege of repentance from this
wayward way of life at the last moment is not such that everyone will enjoy. Warn
people to turn away from sin, intimate them that Jesus is coming soon and we
will all account for our lives. Another life is real, tell them to stop wasting
time and start making each day count; not for sexual immorality, lusts of the eyes,
the pride of life amongst others. Warn them that life and death has been placed
before every man that the pleasures of this world will only lead to eternal death.
(She begins to cough and closes her eyes)
Nurse Titi: Please excuse me, let me call the Doctor
( A check up was carried out and she was confirmed dead)
THE END
