Weaponize your Brokenness

Image result for hope in brokenness

Dear Broken soul,
Don't feel bad about the pains and disappointments,
At this present moment,
Weaponize it and make it a strength.

This phase shall pass,
And birth new and beautiful realities.
In every life situation,
A little challenge here and there,
Doesn't make you weak or less of who you are.
It is a catalyst that ignites you,
It renews and realigns you to what matters,
It takes you a step closer to your purpose.
When you have the treasures you crave on a platter,
It's always difficult to value them.

Relax and get excited
As you watch things fall in place for you,
Opportunities will come,
Soon doors will start chasing you
So much so you get confused which one to enter.
You are a treasure, priceless and valuable,
Irreplaceable and a ray of sunshine,
Don't let the pains rob you of your joy and happiness
For soon you will take your place in the sky,
Ready to conquer even your greatest fears.

Poetry:The Altar of Matrimony

I have waited,  I have really waited For many days and nights Through many sunrise and sunsets  That I have lost pace with. I have always wondered And found myself lost In the world of my thoughts I have been shamed I have been mocked I have been chided All because I chose To wait for you And dance to the rhythm That we have been instructed. This day Seemed never to arrive Out of impatience People have broken themselves Into different souls And meshed with different bodies. I am so proud I waited for you I am so proud I am not a coward For pinning values on you That I refuse myself. This night We will teach ourselves The rhythm of love And move at our own pace Tonight I see not used good But a beautiful treasure. I see not an art in a hurry to act but an art whose beauty ages  like a fine wine. Ton...

Burning Coles (Pt. 2) - Emmanuela Evbuoma

‘My leg my leg’ Seyi who now was sitting on the floor cried. ‘Oh my God’ Mrs Cole exclaimed as she saw the oil stain on her daughter’s sky blue jean trousers. She quickly turned off the gas cooker and helped Seyi remove her trouser as she called on top of her voice to Mr Cole, who was hearing all that was going on but showed no interest. Mr Cole staggered into the kitchen ‘what is it? Why you shouting my name like they are chasing you?’ he asked, obviously drunk. ‘Hot oil poured on your daughter’s thighs and that’s all you can say?’ she asked as she poured cool water on Seyi’s thighs. ‘So what do you now want me to do?’ he asked annoyingly ‘better take her to the hospital and don’t disturb me’ he said and turned around to leave. ‘Ha is that all you have to say?’ Mrs Cole was fed up of her husband’s lackadaisical attitude. She lifted Seyi up from the floor and supported her as they walked out of the kitchen to the main door. She shouted on top of her voice ‘Bimbo b...
