SHORT STORY: For The Love Of My Pride

The Lovers charm is irresistible and once the nectar stings, there is no escape. It rages the heart and causes havoc to the soul. Such is the love for the nation which does everything to frustrate the love we have for her. The plight of the poor is further plagued by societal conventions. This is the restrictive mechanism that makes the heart beat towards the social status they belong to. The love of vanity has been heightened by the young and old alike. The bee sting feeling which has been accepted as a norm has reconfigured the thinking which the world purview has ignorantly embraced.       In the night less city of Airegin, the beautiful weather mixed with cocoons of wastes and smell of dungs which has polluted the atmosphere. The immoralities and assorted sins are at  a skyrocketed high in the biggest pub where corruption, rape, murder and other misdemeanors are served all day long. The pot-bellied bastards wear a wad of cash in their tummy and waste the treasury

POETRY: The Lie, The Liar and The Lied

I am over you Your scent turns my stomach It sends a strong shiver  down my spine. The sight of you makes me wish I had a laser in my eyes. I am over you When I am drowning I stay afloat The rage I feel is like a molten magma That cannot be crushed. I am over you Your presence is like a shadow Devoid of meaning and purpose. Every nook and cranny Is filled with memory regrets Of the worthlessness I pursued. I am over you Your closeness to my proximity Makes my heart go into a vegetative state Filled with regrets of the time I had spent with you. Who are you kidding?

POETRY: The Mirror is a Liar

The mirror is a liar It masks my truth And reflects a lie. It doesn't reveal The beautiful scars I wear From the fires I conquered. It doesn't reveal The inner crevices Of a broken heart Left for shatter. It doesn't reveal How I conquered The walls my mind built As an obstacle. I am different. The only truth That matters is mine That even my reflection Will never see.

POETRY: What is Love?

. Love is creative, It is versatile and beautiful. It is blindness to a fault And openness to a right. Love is not fiction but fact. It is not forged by appearance. It is the compass That guides the path of the lost. And restores hope to the hopeless. It gives a man purpose And a cause to live for. It is made stronger When it is tried and tested. It is solidified and beautified When it journeys through fire. It doesn't melt nor wilt Under severe pressure Cause it is formed from the heart And not carved out by appearance. Love is a beautiful stream  That can only be Contaminated by lustful desires. Love is sacrifice and respect. It is worth holding your breath for It worth's losing your breath over It helps us not to fall apart. Love is life, Love is death, Love is endless, Love is restless, Love is everything.

POETRY: A Strange Wisdom

It is a wisdom that is strange to many How much of a power words wield. It is a weapon to the writer  who fights injustice with his pen. Words are versatile in it's creative power, It can pierce the weakest of minds  And drown the faint hearted. It can soothe the depressed  And heal the broken hearted. It has the power of life and death. It can mend and break apart, It can make sick or whole, It can bring a divide through war, And foster peaceful resolution alike.
